Owner Mike Edwards, who holds a master’s degree in exercise physiology, has experience working in clinical settings and has worked with diverse client populations from total hip and knee replacement and other post-rehab clients to nationally competitive athletes. We specialize in individualized exercise program design and implementation. With one-on-one attention, you’ll get training that’s specially tailored to your health and fitness goals. Our experts guide you so your work-outs are injury free. We’ve worked with clients age 8 to 92.
Our comprehensive post-rehab programs are designed to assist you with a return to optimal function following surgery or physical therapy for injury. This training is also designed to help prevent future problems. We have not only assisted clients with preparing for surgery, but we’ve also helped clients avoid surgery. We have staff with physical therapy degrees and clinical experience. Initially, the client completes a musculoskeletal screening and a functional fitness assessment, from which a program is developed. The program consists of strengthening and stabilization of the spine, the joint, and the associated muscles in question, restoring normal movement and strength.
Pilates & MELT
Pilates is a method of exercise that elongates and strengthens muscles, improving joint mobility and muscle elasticity. Pilates can help reduce the chance of sports injuries, relieve low back pain, improve posture, and also decrease the chance of falls among seniors. Certain Pilates-style techniques are frequently used by physical therapists and exercise physiologists in physical therapy settings to rehabilitate injuries. The MELT method is a series of therapeutic exercise techniques that are designed to relieve chronic pain and improve posture, flexibility, and sleep patterns, while reducing stress and tension.

Our Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) and BACKtoGOLF fitness programs are a nationally recognized golf enhancement programs. Our goal is to reduce injuries and improve performance, conditioning, flexibility, balance, and strength.
Fitness Inside & Out is committed to promoting wellness through ethical therapeutic massage and bodywork. We adjust the type of massage you receive to meet your individual needs. Swedish and some deep tissue massage will promote stress relief and relaxation while neuromuscular therapy will address dysfunction of the soft tissues and help provide relief from chronic pain.
